We also offer internships to students from tertiary institutions, giving them a chance to experience working life in the power engineering industry. Interns gain practical experience by applying knowledge learned in school to the work environment.

Electrical Engineer

Full-time position

Roles and Responsibilities:

The job content is wide and varied with countless opportunities for hands-on work and management:

 

  • Carry out servicing, testing and maintenance of high tension switchgear, transformers, low voltage switchboards and cables in distribution network

  • Plan and schedule daily jobs

  • Assist in conducting daily briefings

  • Ensure that administrative requirements of clients are met e.g. submission of name lists for clearance.

  • Manage and supervise a team of engineers, technicians and foremen to ensure works are completed as per plan and schedule, meeting quality & safety objectives.

  • Manage and coordinate with clients on schedules, the scope of works, on-site issues, technical issues etc.

  • Monitor and ensure staff and workers possess necessary and valid work passes to work.

  • Prepare method statements, Work Instructions and other infrastructure documentation.

  • Timely completion of site work or project documentation such as service report, test report, post servicing report

  • Ensure compliance with bizSAFE regulation and ISO Quality Standards related to the execution of assigned work

  • Assist in company innovation projects such as Mobile Form and Inventory Solution

  • Monitor project schedules, provide guideline and supervision for the successful execution of all projects

  • Respond to and investigate all incidents and non-compliance issues and complete all appropriate paperwork and reporting

  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management.

Career Progression Plan:
The experience gained on the job will put you well ahead of the pact in your running for professional recognition with the PE Board, EMA and Singapore Power:

  • Attainment of an LEW Grade 8 Licence

  • Become an SP PowerGrid Authorised Tester

  • Attainment of a Professional Engineer Certificate

  • Attainment of a LEW Grade 9 Licence (22kV) allowing you to practise in the consumer market

  • Become an SP PowerGrid Authorised Tester (Engineer) allowing you to carry out High Tension Switchgear Testing Works in SP PowerGrid sub-stations

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Possess Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferably majoring in Power

  • Those with Class 3 driver's licence would be preferred

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Prior experience in operations/engineering management position

  • Possess strong leadership quality, good planning and organising ability

  • Takes initiative for personal and professional development.

  • Willing to work after office hours/weekends and Public Holidays

Electrical Engineer Intern

Internship position

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the servicing, maintenance and testing of High Tension switchgears, transformers, low voltage switchboards and cables in distribution networks

  • Assist engineers in troubleshooting of electrical faults and during abnormal situations

  • Work with a team of engineers, technicians and foremen to ensure works are completed as per schedule as well as meeting quality and safety objectives

  • Prepare incident reports, test reports and post servicing reports for completed site work

  • Prepare method statements and work instructions as required

  • Assist in ad hoc duties, project implementation and office infrastructure work as assigned by management

  • Be mentored by highly experienced in-house LEWs – a minefield of knowledge and experience

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be a student studying Electrical Engineering in ITE/Singapore Polytechnic/Ngee Ann Polytechnic/local universities 

  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

  •  A willingness to work on weekends, public holidays and overnight

  • Willing to work any 5 days per week

  • A good team player with a positive working attitude

  • Project management skills

  • Possess a valid Class 3 Singapore driver's licence (preferred)

Monthly remuneration: $450 - $1000 

Assistant Electrical Engineer 

Full-time position

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior operations staff in carrying out site work and administrative duties

  • Lead and manage a team of student interns and new engineering junior hires 

  • Be responsible for planning and scheduling manpower for site jobs 

  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  •  Diploma in Electrical Engineering 

  •  A willingness to work on weekends, public holidays and overnight

  • A good team player with a positive working attitude

  • Project management skills

  • Possess a valid Class 3 Singapore driver's licence (preferred)
